Dear, Prof Dr Nihal Ranasinghe, A responsible person like you should not act like this(if you are not a fake). I am a 82 years old pensioner.I worked in Trincomalee Kacheri.I was born in the British rule and I was 20years old when they left the country. As far as I can remember Koneswarar temple was there in the same place where it is now.I never heard that there was a budhist temple or dagoba there. Please don't change the Mahawamse according to your wish, as you all did earlier in Dutugemunu and Ellalan story.

When the British government was ruling Sri Lanka in 1948, there were only few Sinhala fishmen living in the costal area in Trincomalee. There were no Buddhist Temple in any part of Trincomalee district. Later on the Sinhala political rulers establised Buddhist Temples where there were famous Hindu Temples. Please do not change the name of Hindu Temples into Sinhala Vihara. Who gave the permission to change the " SRI KONESWARAR TEMPLE"s name?
